Academy Overview

Stonebriar Academy’s philosophy is centered around the early education of your child. Our unique age-specific programs and curricula are designed to move your child ahead developmentally, get him ready for school and teach him important social skills – in an environment that’s warm, nurturing, and fun. We view nearly every activity in which your child engages as an opportunity to teach. So when you visit Stonebriar Academy and see children playing with others or alone reading a book, you’ll know they’re also learning. Every step of the way.

  • Assessments & Curriculum
Progress reports and developmental milestones are used to assess each child on an ongoing basis. The outcome is to provide learning activities that match your child’s development skill. These results confirm the quality of our curriculum.
  • Teachers
The quality of a teacher makes the difference in your child’s happiness. And the difference at Stonebriar Academy is the strength of our teachers. Our teachers come to us with a variety of early childhood backgrounds, but they all have at least one thing in common – a love of working with children and a passion for teaching.
  • Child Care Programs
The health and well being of your infant and toddler is our highest priority. Due to state regulations, strict child-to-staff relations, our one-child-per-crib policy and other health considerations, Infant and Toddler programs cannot be funded by part-time tuition. Therefore, Stonebriar Academy Infant and Toddler Programs can only accept enrollments for a full-week (M-F) schedule.
  • Enrollment
Parents can choose either a full week schedule or an AM or PM half-day schedule. However, that schedule must be locked in and cannot be changed week to week. You can talk to the Academy Director for more details. Should you decide to reduce your child’s schedule, or withdraw your child, Stonebriar Academy requires a 30 day notice.
  • Pick-up and Drop-off
Each child must be checked in and out on our electronic log system every day. No child is released to an adult without proper authorization. EVER!
  • Visitors
All visitors are greeted in our secure lobby, directed to sign the Visitor Log and state the purpose of their visit. A picture ID may be required.
  • Medical Standards
Staff members do not work if they are ill and must update their medical records periodically. For each child we maintain complete written records of medical histories, conditions, and immunizations, and emergency contacts.
